ABOUT ME

SUBJECT

Name: Kurt
Role: Maker / Artist
Location: U.S.A.
Status: Continuously learning.

OVERVIEW

I build things to understand them.

Most projects begin with a question. Sometimes it’s, “How does this work?” Other times it’s, “I wonder if I can make that?” Either way, I’ve found that the best way to learn is to start creating.

I enjoy exploring new disciplines, whether that’s developing software, electronics, 3d printing, woodworking, sewing, painting, or something I’ve never tried before. I don’t expect to master everything, but I do believe every project has something to teach.

This website is where I document that journey. You’ll find finished projects, works in progress, experiments, and the lessons that came from each one. The goal isn’t perfection - it’s progress. If something here inspires you to start building, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would.

OBSERVATIONS

  • Most projects begin with a question.

  • The best way I’ve found to learn is to start making.

  • The first version is rarely the last.

  • Finished projects are satisfying, but the lessons learned along the way are usually more valuable.

  • Documentation turns experience into knowledge.

  • Curiosity has led me to more interesting places than planning ever has.

PHILOSOPHY

Every project is an opportunity to learn something new.

Whether I’m solving a problem or simply following my curiosity, the process is always the same:
